ExpandED Schools is the fiscal agent and home of the national Every Hour Counts coalition, a partnership of citywide organizations that increase access to quality learning opportunities, particularly for underserved students. We are also a member organization. The coalition’s approach — called an expanded learning system — coordinates the work of service providers, public agencies, funders and schools, so dollars stretch farther and more young people are served. The result: students with better attendance, grades and test scores; stronger work habits; and more positive social behaviors.
The Every Hour Counts partners include:
After School Matters (Chicago)
Boston After School and Beyond
Family League of Baltimore
Hartford Partnership for Student Success
Nashville After Zone Alliance
Partnership for Children and Youth (Bay Area, CA)
Partnership for Youth Development (New Orleans)
Prime Time Palm Beach County, Inc.
Providence After School Alliance

The NYC STEM Education Network was created to make the city’s STEM learning opportunities more accessible to NYC children and to build the capacity of after-school programs to deliver STEM. Launched in 2012 with funding from the Pinkerton Foundation, the Network currently includes representatives from over 30 city agencies, schools, after-school programs, youth-serving organizations, science museums, universities and intermediaries with an interest in STEM. Through the sharing of information and resources, it serves as a catalyst for new ideas, partnerships and collaborative projects involving both the formal and informal STEM learning communities.
