SUMMARY:Grief Workshop Part 3: Seeing the Big Picture: Grief and Systemic Oppression
DESCRIPTION:Grief is inextricably linked to the ways in which we see ourselves and the world sees us. As members of a society that operates on systemic oppression\, we can’t ignore the effects that this has on the way we experience loss culturally and racially. To make sure the support we provide is culturally responsive\, we will read a teen story through this lens and discuss ways to address the many layers that come with grief\, especially for youth of marginalized communities. \nSchool-Age Childcare training regulations satisfied: 3 \nPlease note that active participation during the session is required in order to receive letters of completion. Letters of completion can only be distributed to participants whose identities are verified. \nLocation:  \nRemote. A link to the training will be sent by email. This is a camera-on workshop. \n
