Based on over two decades of work with the Comic Book Project\, Dr. Bitz will highlight comic books created by youths as examples of the power of comics as learning and motivational tools. Through examples of his own work\, Mr. Anderson will highlight the ways in which instructors can inspire youths to plan\, write\, and design their comics. The workshop will cover a framework for creating comics and provide participants with no-cost\, web-based resources that can help them lead their own comic book clubs\, either in person or online.
