SUMMARY:CORE PD: Working with Students with Special Needs
DESCRIPTION:Activities in this workshop include a brief overview of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)\, the types of disability classifications\, learning styles\, and strategies that enhance an inclusive environment. We’ll also cover how to support special needs youth in after-school and explore what programmatic strategies can be utilized to better serve this population. \nSchool-Age Child Care training regulations satisfied: 3 \nPlease note that active participation during the session is required in order to receive letters of completion.
