This workshop introduces fun\, movement-based activities that strengthen phonological and phonemic awareness through songs\, rhymes\, games\, and oral language activities.  \nParticipants will learn how to make sound awareness engaging without worksheets\, helping students build one of the most important foundations of reading success.

DESCRIPTION:Who says literacy has to happen sitting at a desk? Move It! Literacy Games demonstrates how movement and active play can transform literacy learning into an engaging\, high-energy experience. Designed for out-of-school time programs\, this workshop introduces interactive games that strengthen vocabulary\, comprehension\, sequencing\, communication\, and critical thinking while keeping students active and engaged.   \nParticipants will explore easy-to-facilitate activities that encourage collaboration\, teamwork\, and joyful learning. Each game is adaptable for different grade levels and can be incorporated into afterschool\, summer\, and community-based programs to make literacy come alive through movement.   \nA light breakfast will be served for in person trainings.
