Our public schools are built on ideologies and practices that maintain white supremacist principles. Educators need to understand the systems and language used in order to be change agents in their schools. This session will briefly discuss the history of public schooling and how this history impacts public school systems today. Attendees will learn tools and strategies to navigate school policies. Finding like-minded professionals and building community learning circles will also be discussed.
