High School Students
- Have HS students reflect on the following topics through writing or a 1:1 or small group discussion:
- Why I chose my high school and what makes my HS unique
- Classes I take
- Clubs/extracurriculars I participate in
- Allies: who I look to when I need help
- Something I’m passionate about
- Something that’s challenged me and how I’ve navigated that challenge
- One piece of advice I’d give to middle school students
- Anything else I wish I’d known when I was in middle school
- Have HS students brainstorm topics they would like to discuss on the panel
- Have students develop a slide to share with MS students after the event
Middle School Students

Post Panel
Post Panel
High School Students
- Debrief with students about how the panel went. You might ask:
- What was that experience like? How did it feel sharing your advice with MS students?
- What was the best part of being on the panel?
- What was the most challenging part of being on the panel?
- Is there anything you would want to change if we were to do this panel again?
Middle School Students
- Share out slides created by panelists and facilitate a reflection. You might ask:
- What was one thing you heard from the panelists that was interesting to you?
- Was there anything the panelists said that connected to your interests or experiences?
- Is there anything you’re still wondering about or would like to learn more about?
- If you were to listen to a panel again, is there any topic that you would add or change?
