Summer Rising STEAM Fair

Celebrate summer learning in science, technology,
engineering, art, and math!

The NYC STEM Education Network is thrilled to announce its partnership with Community School District 4 to bring the Summer Rising STEAM Fair event to Harlem on August 3, 2023.

We believe that STEAM should be accessible to all students. Research has shown that introducing STEAM at an early age is crucial for developing critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and nurturing curiosity. By exposing students to STEAM, we provide them with a head start in developing interest in these fields. However, historically, some communities have been excluded from STEAM learning experiences, programs, and careers.

Our mission is to bridge this gap and spark new ideas, partnerships, and collaborative projects that expand and sustain STEAM learning opportunities for all.

The Summer Rising STEAM Fair will showcase engaging hands-on activities, student presentations, and opportunities for students to interact with NYC STEM Education Network STEAM providers.

We thank the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for believing in the transformative potential of STEAM education. Through their generous support, ExpandED Schools will award Community School District 4 an $18,000 grant to help enhance STEAM education across their schools.

We also thank the Pinkerton Foundation for their enduring support in proving STEM opportunities for afterschool programs.

If you are a Community School District 4 educator, parent, guardian or student or know someone who is, feel free to share this event information with them.
